This e-bike cycling tour focuses on the outside of the outer moat of the castle town built by Ikeda Terumasa. Unlike typical sightseeing routes, you will explore lesser-known historical landscapes with a local guide—such as Nokogiri Yokocho, where houses line up like the teeth of a saw, and Ate-mage, intentionally bent streets designed to avoid straight lines and strengthen defense. Over approximately three hours, you will ride smoothly through the former religious and cultural center known as Teramachi, as well as neighborhoods where industries such as metal casting and Buddhist altar fittings once flourished—all on an e-bike (electric bicycle). Rather than seeing Himeji through a “tourist’s perspective,” this experience lets you discover the city’s depth through the lens of local life.
